INSIDE SILENCE INSIGHTS
There is a grassroots movement - to BE THE CHANGE we want to see in the world.
Deepak Chopra asked who would join in him taking a vow - a simple but profound notion. The Vow:
I take the vow of non-violence in thought, speech and action.
As of this writing, 15, 554 people have joined him. I was one of the early birds. So far, I have been amazed at how often I have expereinced somewhat violent thoughts - ABOUT ME. Since the vow, I have noticed, and then gently reminded myself that this love I extend to the world starts with me.

OR watch Deepak's short video on the purpose and meaning of the vow:
When we meditate, we focus our intention on letting go, releasing control, and allowing things to be, including ourselves.
So the very suggestion of compassion indicates an intention of ours; a bit of a paradox really, more like a holding on to what we think is best for someone or the world in general.
How then can we practice meditation and share compassion with the world?
Our True State
When we enter into the meditative state, we pass through the gates of centeredness, the now, the present moment. As we begin to clear away the noise and get in touch with our inner self, our inner voice (as in lifestyle meditation practices), our true state emerges.
Surprisingly, that inner fountain is one of grace, of kindness, patience, understanding and compassion (along with curiosity, light-heartedness and joy). Our normal state is compassion – and learning some of the basic meditation skills can help us live more fully in our generous heart .
What is Compassion Meditation?
Once we discover the pleasantness of our inner voice and the joy of silence within, a new intention slowly begins to form within our consciousness. We become “aware” of others in a way that seems new, often a bit odd. We “care” about things that we didn’t even recognize before. Some mediators share a desire to give, to share, to offer the world some taste of the peace they now enjoy.
Through compassion meditation, we can reach the world with an intention for peace, healing, reconciliation and loving-kindness.
Compassion meditation is an outflow from your heart to the world. It starves the popular media-driven fear, and feeds the world with hope.
